Trophora Online: free multiplayer football management

How to start

1. Open play.trophora.com and tap Online (beta) on the start screen.
2. Not signed in? Tap Sign in, enter your email and tap Email me a sign-in link. Open the link from your email.
3. Pick your online name (not your real name) and tap Save name.
4. Under Join a world with free seats choose Player, Club manager or National manager, then tap Find me a seat.
5. Got a code from a friend? Type it under Join friends and tap Find world. Or set up your own with Start a private league.

What you control

• Your seat: a footballer, a club or a national team.
• Team picks, mentality, transfers and offers through the Market and your Inbox.
• Co-op clubs: Chairman, Director of Football, Manager and Head Scout can be different people.
• Private leagues: the name, the pace and who gets the invite code.
• Live friendlies against another human manager, with subs and mentality changes.
• Preset shouts and reactions on the Terrace. No typed chat, no private messages.

A typical week

Public worlds play one game week a day. In a private league the owner picks the pace: 1 game week a day, 1 game week an hour or When everyone is ready (with a longest wait of 24, 48 or 72 hours, so nobody holds it up). Set your team before the week plays, then check Results, the League and your Inbox.

How you win and progress

• Win your world’s league, the Founders’ Cup or the Nations Trophy, and chase the Golden Boot and Player of the Season.
• Enter Divisions with a club you manage: ten divisions, 14-day seasons, a round a day, top 20% up and bottom 20% down.
• Win a private league and your club goes into next month’s Champions Cup, with the final played live for everyone to watch.
• Earn badges and scout reports. Badges are for show and never change how you play.
• Every world keeps a Hall of Fame, records and club legends.

Tips

• New and not sure? Start by supporting a club: no seat needed, and your chants lift the home crowd a little on match weeks.
• Only share your invite code with people you know. The owner can make a new code at any time.
• Hit Watch on a result to see the match in the match engine, or spectate a live friendly.
• Turn on Reminders in the lobby if you want a heads-up before big matches. They are off until you switch them on.
