What you can do
Learn the game
Quick quizzes and mini-games: "What position am I?", penalty practice that teaches you to aim, and the rules explained as you play. Wrong answers explain why. Nobody loses anything.
Live a footballer's life
Make your player and plan each day: school, practice, food, sleep and time with friends. Look after your player and they play better on Saturday. Work your way from the Street Team to the Academy.
Run your own team
- Manage the under-12s of a Trophora club, or a county side
- Play 5, 7 or 11 a side, pick formations and a captain
- Set training, give team talks and climb the league to a Cup Final
- Build up your ground with stars you earn by playing
Collect and swap cards
Every player is a shiny card. Swap one card for one card with a friend sitting next to you by scanning a QR code. Swaps stay off until a grown-up turns them on. Nothing is sold and nothing goes online.
Real matches, 5, 7 or 11 a side
Watch your team play, or tap to pass, shoot and press. Cheer them on, and switch to Attack or Defend as the game goes on.

For parents and carers
We build Trophora Academy around the UK Children's Code, and apply the same principles for families everywhere: high privacy by default and nothing designed to keep children hooked.
- 💬No chat and no messages. Children can't talk to anyone in the game, and names come from word pickers, not typing.
- 📵No ads and no tracking. The game runs on the device and makes no internet requests while your child plays.
- 🧾No accounts for children. Progress is saved on your device. You can delete it any time.
- 🎲No loot boxes, coins or random packs. Rewards are earned by playing and shown in advance.
- 🔐A grown-ups' area behind a gate for settings, card swaps and graduation.
- ⏰Break reminders you can set, and no "come back tomorrow" pressure.
- 🔊Read-aloud for younger players, using your device's own voice.
- 📻No radio or streamed music in the Academy.
Questions
How do we play?
Open academy.trophora.com on a phone or tablet and tap Play. To keep it like an app, use "Add to Home Screen" (iPhone and iPad: the Share button; Android: the browser menu). After the first visit it works offline.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. Trophora Academy is free, with no adverts and nothing to buy inside the game.
Does my child need an account or an email address?
No. The game saves on your phone or tablet. We don't ask for names, birthdays, photos or locations. There is no online play.
Is it connected to Trophora?
They share the same fictional football world. When your child turns 13, you can choose to let them carry their player into Trophora. There are no shared accounts, and nothing moves without your OK.
Which devices does it work on?
Phones and tablets, upright or sideways. You'll be able to add it to your home screen, and it works offline.
